Pittsburgh USA

Kz and I ventured west of greater New York and went snooping. Here is what we found:

The Quiet Storm
A cozy little eatery representing veggie grazers and board game players. I had this black & gold burrito (tofu, black beans, potato, some veggies & topped w/ gravy). It was good, but it was Heavy.

Oh Yeah! Pittsburgh's "most eccentric haven for ice-cream". They serve Temptation and offer all sorts of add ins-from spirulina to beef jerky! We shared this vegan cinnamon-banana waffle topped w/ pineapple infused vanilla temptation. Oh yes, it was a treat.
Kaya-a more "random" find located in Pittsburgh's downtown (or should I say "strip" district). Kaya is all about the Caribbean flair and vegan friendly waitress who took great fair to modify the menu. Their flavors are noteworthy...lasting. I had this lovely little sandwich w/ avocado and other fresh veggies w/ watermelon gazpacho and sweet potato fries.

Not to belabor the pun, but Pittsburgh proved to not be the pits!

Beef jerky in ice cream? Even if it was vegan I wouldn't...
That sandwich looks so fresh and delicious.
