Motivated by the like minded passion of Cupcakes take the cake, I brought some mini cakes to Rachel Kramer Bussel's other passion, In the Flesh Reading Series at the appropriately named Happy Ending lounge.
Let's talk cupcakes. The recipe=Cashew Cardamom (vctotw)
Freshly ground cardamom, and orange juice gives these little guys powerful flavor. Not to mention the frosting=agave, soymilk powder, & luscious cashew butter based. It is eat-it-by-the-spoonful-good.
In honor of all things literary and lusty, I topped them with dots, to allude to a certain effect. I'm proud to say, they were a success!
